It was really exciting to see such a diverse range of people involved in games at the first networking meeting earlier this week. One suggestion has been to try and arrange a session, either as part of the main event or seperately, about film/tv and games. Thoughts on this? Does anyone know any great case studies (non Hollywood) of how such a partnership has worked?I know that members of Producers' Forum would also be really keen to access this.

Very difficult to think of any game based movies created outside the Hollywood system, excluding Japan (Animal Crossing, OneChanbara, Pokemon, etc.) as not sure how relevant they would be in this case. It would be worth contacting Rebellion to find out what their experience has been with this area, as owners of the 2000AD assets/IP and having had a movie based on one the characters (Judge Dredd) they could give valuable insights into this area.

Thanks Will-if enough people think it has enough potential, we'll try and make this a networking session/event. Will ask Marie/Rebecca to be in contact with Rebellion for research purposes anyway.

A Facebook group, Gamers' Voice, might be of interest ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=189974734041&ref=mf&v=wall) - describes itself as 'unashamedly pro-video games. We aim to discuss how UK video gamers can find their voice in newspapers and government.'
